News & Updates   ~ 07/11/06 ~     Goodness, I just happened to notice that it's been a year to the day since The Main Gate has received any sort of an update. Not that this site is particularly known for frequent additions, but still that's quite sad. If you keep an eye on our parent site, Mega Man Legends Station, you'll see that it is currently making great progress in rebuilding itself, and once that is finally taken care of, The Main Gate will become my #1 Legends priority. Please have patience-- I know you all do.           ~ 07/11/05 ~     LTD! is working to expand its Mini-Games section. As of now you can find two new small demos of games in progress. Keep in mind these demos show the games extremely early in their development.           ~ 06/24/05 ~     Please give a warm welcome (and pay a visit) to our new affiliate, Rockman.EXE Headquarters! EXEHQ has a number interesting things to offer from many facets of the Mega Man fandom.           ~ 05/22/05 ~     Knowing very well how frustrating it is to have to wait long expanses of time between each new part of Alternate Trigger, I thought it might be fun to start a "While We're Waiting" section. This new bit will hopefully provide some small enjoyment while you wait, and possibly also give you glimpses of how progress is coming along.           ~ 05/18/05 ~     The Megaman Legends EXpansion site has finally released its first public beta demo! Be sure to check out the MMLEx announcements page for information on downloading and running it!           ~ 05/10/05 ~     The Main Gate is pleased to announce its first affiliate, Strider's Mega Man Domain! This site has a large focus on the creation and hosting of Mega Man various fan games! Please be sure to pay them a visit!           ~ 05/05/05 ~     Sometime within the past 2 or 3 days, The Main Gate finally reached its 5000 hit mark! I say it's about time, but still, not bad given the unusual site this is!           ~ 04/26/05 ~     Someone recently pointed out that at the first of the year, I posted this: "If all goes well, things will pick up greatly on this project, with new Parts added at a more regular pace!" Yeah right, that'll be the day. Sadly, it's been about 7 months since Part 03 of Alternate Trigger was released, and we are just now bringing out the "Director's Cut" version of it which was promised way back when. However, with that now out of they way and Part 03 completely squared away, serious work on Part 04 can finally begin! Enjoy the changes to Part 03!           ~ 04/21/05 ~     If anyone has visited the Staff page, you may have noticed that Blyka's name has been added to the Launch the Draches! listing. He joins the staff as the driving force behind the creation of the site's Mini-Games section. Today, Launch the Draches! is at last ready to release its first mini-game, and what you could call its "flagship title". We present to you Launch the Drache, a fun but challenging mini-game that derives its name and concept directly from the site itself. After several months in the making, we certainly hope you all enjoy it!           ~ 04/12/05 ~     In celebration of a year gone by, you've no doubt noticed that The Main Gate has been redesigned! It's always good for sites to have some change and liven things up, but in addition to the much needed facelift, there were several navigational and organizational issues that had to be sorted out, now that The Main Gate is fully up and running and we know better how to accommodate its needs. Activity has certainly been increasing around here, and we hope you continue to visit and enjoy what The Main Gate has to offer! As always, feedback and suggestions are always appreciated, and can be left over in TMG Forums.           ~ 04/10/05 ~     Well how about that, The Main Gate is officially 1 year old today! What better way to celebrate than to at long last, open a site which has been in the works off and on that entire time? Ladies and gentlemen, we give you Launch the Draches! This new site is geared up to be the greatest Bonne Family fan site imagineable, with a heavy focus on fan interaction, so go check it out! Unfortunately, as with many newly launched sites, there are areas of LTD! that are currently under construction, but without those, what would there be to look forward to, right? We've had a rough ride full of interruptions and setbacks, so for now please enjoy what we do have, and we promise to add more content in the very near future!           ~ 03/25/05 ~     For those who aren't aware, the recently added Megaman Legends EXpansion site supplies its own updates on its announcements page. Be sure to check there for major changes in the game's progression. Also, after months of silence, we just want to let you know that the Launch the Draches! staff is back in action, working hard to prepare the site for opening. We know it's been a very long wait and we apologize. Because of all the delays we've already experienced, we dare not give a launch date quite yet, but we hope it will be soon. Please look forward to it!           ~ 02/20/05 ~     Hooray! At long last The Main Gate is finally ready to announce the addition of its third functional site. It may or not come as a surprise, as many of you are already acquainted with it one way or another. Still, The Main Gate is pleased to present to you the brand new, official web site featuring the upcoming 3D fan game, Megaman Legends EXpansion! MMLEx has already been making waves within the community for several months now, as many excited members of the MMLS/TMG Forums have watched its progress. The Main Gate's purpose is to bring to you new and innovative ways of enjoying the Legends series, and Megaman Legends EXpansion certainly matches the criteria. With the addition of this site, we hope to spread the word about this great project and increase interest throughout the community. For more information, and simply because you should, visit the site itself, accessible up above on the Gateway!           ~ 01/01/05 ~     Happy New Year everyone! The Main Gate was first envisioned almost exactly a year from this very day. It was officially announced on February 29th, and launched on April 10th. The rest of the year was rather a rocky start for this site, and to be perfectly honest, it has hardly grown since its launch. In 2005 we hope to change that, and make The Main Gate a site worth visiting, a site where Mega Man Legends fans can seek the fun of the series in new and imaginative ways! Here's the rundown: ~Halcyon Days~ Lacking in proper staff, HD was on hold for many months with absolutely no progress at all, not a word written. Work on the story has resumed though, and a potentially promising staff member may be joining the team soon! ~Alternate Trigger~ The 3D MML comic recently turned a year old. If all goes well, things will pick up greatly on this project, with new Parts added at a more regular pace! ~Launch the Draches!~ Though it may seem as though this site has died before it began, the truth is that a good deal of work has already gone into it. In fact, a chunk of the site was already uploaded at one point, but had to be removed due to nosey search engines leading people in. Hang tight everyone, the Draches will be launching! ~?????~ The fourth site to join The Main Gate is well underway, and promises great excitement for the Megaman Legends fans of the world! At the current rate of progress, we anticipate this site to actually appear before Launch the Draches!           ~ 09/27/04 ~     At last, the day you've all been waiting for! I really had to bust butt on this, but at last I am pleased to bring you Alternate Trigger Part 03! What I had originally imagined would be a "filler" Part so to speak ended up being longer than either of the first two Parts, and is without a doubt the most technically difficult and visually appealing Part by far! And so, I hope you enjoy it! If you're a member of the MMLS/TMG Forums, please be sure to drop by and give your opinions on the latest addition.           ~ 09/04/04 ~     The fans are lighting torches and grabbing up their pitch forks! The cries come from all corners of the globe; "Where is Alternate Trigger Part 03?!" Well, by now I doubt anyone will believe me if I say it's on its way, so I'm gonna have to give you some proof. Over at Alternate Trigger you can now find a teaser page for Part 03. Basically, it's Page 10 of the comic but with 90% of it whited out, but I assure you that the rest of the page is in existence, and the rest of the Part will be as well. Have patience.           ~ 08/20/04 ~     Well it certainly has been awhile. Apologies to everyone. The staff of the various sites (myself included) haven't been getting much done as of late. Hopefully things should pick up soon though. Keep an eye on this page for soon to be updated info on which new staff members we need to make this place realize its full potential. As I have stated before on several occasions, I already have a major Legends web site to run. The Main Gate is meant to be an extension of it, where others can bring in their talents. However it takes dedication to make things happen and thus far that has been the problem here at The Main Gate.           ~ 06/12/04 ~     The question has begun to come at me in quantity: When is the next part of Alternate Trigger going to be ready? Well, even though life has me by the throat for now, I'm going to try and get a little bit done each day, starting today. Prior to this however, progress on Part 03 is already going well, with many new 3D models created and in the works. Hope you'll be looking forward to it. For the time being, I have added an Alternate Trigger Wallpapers section. Enjoy.           ~ 05/22/04 ~     Just a little update to say that The Main Gate passed 500 visitors recently! That happened a lot faster than it did for MMLS, but that's to be expected, as MMLS has been linking people here all along.           ~ 05/12/04 ~     If you happened to visit Mega Man Legends Station today, you might have noticed that it will be getting a domain name of its own, www.legends-station.com in fact. In the meantime, until the launch of MMLS Version 3, the name and space will not be going entirely to waste. The Main Gate has moved over to this server, and can now be found at the address of http://maingate/legends-station.com instead of http://themaingate.cjb.net where it was. The change of web address will allow us to be rid of that nasty pop-up ad caused by the cjb address, and the move to this server will allow The Main Gate to be rid of numerous technical difficulties which plagued the place on the old free server. With more space and capabilites, The Main Gate has in essence been given new life even though it may appear the same. And finally the Updates page and Staff Members page have both been set up. The Affiliation page will soon follow.           ~ 05/10/04 ~     I just couldn't let an entire month pass without an update, even if this isn't supposed to be a fast-paced site. Though this page has sat unaltered this past month, The Main Gate has been fairly active behind the scenes. Here's how things stand... Halcyon Days is on hold for the moment, due to some "technical" difficulties. Alternate Trigger is coming along very nicely. Several 3D character models have been created in preparation of Part 03, and the making of the models is more than half the work in itself! Finally, if you noticed up above, there is a new site announced! It is called Launch the Draches! This site will focus entirely on that lovable air pirate family, the Bonnes! Classify it as a character shrine, we're going to have images, in-depth character analysis and descriptions, media, you name it. If it's Bonne, we hope to have it! Notice I'm using the word will, as this is not an opening of a new site, we're simply announcing it so everyone can look forward to it. You can also feel free to give us suggestions on the Forums, and if they're good we might just use your ideas on the site! Staff members for Launch the Draches! are Dia Aren Marie, Shelldragon (also known as TeaselFanGirly) and myself, fab.           ~ 04/10/04 ~     Welcome to the official opening of The Main Gate! Up until now, this site has remained very much a mystery as no official announcements have been made concerning just what sort of content you would be able to find here. Time to change that, and so here is the introduction... Around the beginning of the year as I searched the web for any and every Legends-based site out there, I had in mind a special feature for Mega Man Legends Station. That has feature come and gone, but in my hunt it became more clear to me than ever how much of a void there was where Legends was concerned. I began to imagine sites, thinking "hey wouldn't it be cool if someone just took a little time and made a site dedicated to such-and-such aspect of the series, or maybe a place devoted to a particular group of characters". My mind played with this idea, and I decided (much as I did with MMLS before) that such sites would be cool to visit and that I would make them since nobody else was going to. I thought of a large variety of sites ranging from interesting to unique. Some of the ideas have since been rejected, some embraced, and others are still being considered. The Main Gate will stand as the central hub of this group of small sites which will soon come into being. Small sites, on a whimsical, artistic, and perhaps even wacky level, sites that don't fit in with the official, clean, and neat manner of MMLS. To sum it up in really simple terms, The Main Gate is the doorway to a collection of small sites, each focused around one particular aspect of the Legends series. Today we open by announcing two of those sites. They can be found up above. ~Halcyon Days~ A professional level story set in the world of Mega Man Legends. You may call it a fan fiction if you like, but you will soon find many distinctions as you begin to read the story. But it's not just any old story, it's written in the "choose your adventure" style, adding a nice bit of interactivity and giving you the choice of where you want to go and some control over what your final outcome will be. Please note that Halcyon Days will be a HUGE project, and so it is opening as Version 0.1, which is just a small part of it, about enough to give you a feel for the story and how it works. As more is written, more will be added with an increased version number. For more specific information, just visit the site itself! ~Alternate Trigger~ Yes indeed, the 3D Mega Man Legends comic that became an instant smash hit in the Legends community! It's old, tiny site has been rebuilt and added to The Main Gate. With this comes the long awaited Part 02 of the comic, and the even better news is that being part of an actual site now, Alternate Trigger will take more priority and new Parts should be added more frequently! So what are you still doing reading this?! This is the moment you've been waiting for! The Main Gate has officially opened with two of its sites, which can both be found on the main menu above. Don't forget, there are still more to come, as indicated by the question marks on the menu! Naturally we would love to hear feedback from our visitors. Let us know if you're amazed, surprised, excited, or even disappointed. You can do so in the MMLS Forums, where a special forum has been set up just for talking about The Main Gate. And should you feel in the mood to celebrate the opening, the forum has some new Halcyon Days and Alternate Trigger avatars! Hopefully that's a well-rounded beginning and things will start off on the right foot around here!           ~ 03/18/04 ~     There has been some off and on work the past 10 days, but nothing worth reporing till now. Quick Cheetah has joined the staff and will be one of the writers for Halcyon Days!           ~ 03/08/04 ~     I have decided that Halcyon Days and Alternate Trigger will be the two debute sites for The Main Gate's more official launch. Thus I spent a great deal of today on making an entire page of Alternate Trigger. I also have a very interested person who will probably become one of the writers for Halcyon Days.           ~ 03/07/04 ~     Site layout for The Gesellschaft Gang (unofficial name at this point) has been agreed upon. Staff members of the site have been determined as fab, Dia Aren Marie, and Shelldragon.           ~ 03/06/04 ~     A much nicer Home Page has been set up, featuring a pretty much finished look, other than the actual links to the different sub-sites. Those have not yet been announced, and likewise this News & Updates Page is not uploaded onto the web yet.           ~ 03/05/04 ~     After a lot of hard work, Halcyon Days is all set to begin. Site layout is complete, basic site related pages are finished for now, main characters have been drawn, so all we need now is the story itself... Of course that means I need one or two great writers to help me write it. Awaiting interested persons.           ~ 02/29/04 ~     The Main Gate has been publicly announced on Mega Man Legends Station at last. And with that, it's time to officially get to work on this site. A temporary Home Page has been set up and a notice has been put out for people who might be interested in joining the staff.
